NAKED POOL AT ARTISAN

Naked Pool at the Artisan is perhaps one of the best-kept local secrets by sunbathers in the know. The boutique hotel hides in plain sight within a lush green oasis just west of I-15 on W Sahara Ave. If you don’t know it’s there, you just might drive on by, but don’t. Do yourself a favor and check out this intimate poolside paradise. This is the only pool at a non-casino hotel that is open to the public and allows women to sunbathe topless if they wish.

The pool deck is much smaller than what you’ll see at most of the mega-resorts. Of course, good things come in small packages. The size of the pool area, as well as the Artisan’s obscure location, are just two things that keep the locals coming back for more. Let the Strip have its huge parties, mind numbing music, techno wizardry in the form of huge LED screens and 2,000-plus partiers with an attitude. This is a place where you come to enjoy the sunshine and sip on cocktails not have them spilled on you by some drunk guy who has no regard for personal space. During the scheduled weekly parties, live DJs provide the beats to keep the scene lively while great drink specials allow you squeeze just a bit more out of your entertainment budget.

The small pool is centrally located and the deck is surrounded on three sides by a thicket of palm trees, so no need to worry about prying eyes from outside. Reserved seating options include double-sized daybeds and three cabanas with comfortable couches equipped with curtains for additional privacy when desired.

Daybed are located at the edge of the pool and the sophisticated décor includes a decorative fountain, black Grecian style planters, black and red throw pillows, red cabana curtains and wrought iron racks stacked with fresh white towels.

Poolside dining is provided by the Artisan’s restaurant, the Mood. Guests can order directly from the restaurant’s regular menu, which offers a wide range of gourmet appetizers and complete breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Sexy hostesses wearing swimsuits by Syrup serve up specialty cocktails, including the Naked Daiquiri featuring lime sour, rum, bitters and a lime wedge.

The pool is open daily with special events running continuously throughout the pool season. During the day on Saturday, Naked Pool hosts Evolve Beach Club, Sin City’s only topless pool party for couples with tunes by resident DJ ShadowRed. The weekly Cuban Nights Pool Party starts at 11 pm every Saturday with sounds by DJ Yanel. Guests are invited to party under the stars and admission is free. Sunday’s party is called Bottoms Up and features resident DJ Justin Key.
