FOUNDATION ROOM AT MANDALAY BAY LAS VEGAS

With its location atop Mandalay Bay, The Foundation Room offers a sophisticated place to dine and party while enjoying some of the most spectacular views in Las Vegas. The space functions as an extension of the famous House of Blues and was originally a members only club

The venue still offers memberships featuring a variety of perks but everyone is now welcome to enjoy the view and all that goes along with it. Member benefits include drink specials, dining offers, invitations to exclusive parties, guest passes and access to select performances at the House of Blues.

Access is via a private elevator that transports you to the top of Mandalay Bay and into a world where a life size Buddha greets you and makes you immediately forget you are in a Las Vegas casino.

The restaurant is to the right and offers table seating on the patio with views of the Las Vegas Strip. A walkway along the patio leads to the main lounge. Exotic Indian and Tibetan artifacts against the backdrop of intricately carved wooden walls create a mystical ambiance. Plush couches and low coffee tables arranged in front of a fireplace provide the perfect place for cocktails and conversation.

The Shangri-La Room is full of fascinating historical artifacts purchased by the venue and accurately restored. Among the interesting items on display are several authentic confessionals salvaged from an old church in Ireland and a chandelier that survived the devastating MGM Grand fire in 1978.

The Foundation Room offers numerous rooms tucked away in secluded locations for private parties. Options include the Buddha and Ganesh Prayer dining rooms. The Gothic and 1856 rooms have dedicated bars and are popular with guests who are hosting bachelor, bachelorette and birthday parties. The Media Room provides a laid-back place where members can kick back in plush sofas and watch a live feed from whatever concert is taking place at the House of Blues located on the first floor of Mandalay Bay.

After 10 pm, the Foundation Room transforms into a high energy dance club, even though it lacks a traditional dance floor. Weekend nights typically offer multiple DJs set up in the Lounge and Shangri-La room giving guests a chance to choose the vibe that is right for them.
