THE VOO ULTRA POOL & LOUNGE AT THE RIO LAS VEGAS

The Voo Ultra Pool and Lounge offers a spectacular adult pool experience for the over 21 crowd inside VooDoo Beach at the Rio.

To get to the Voo, walk through to the back of VooDoo Beach and show your ID to the pool club host sitting next to the podium. Behind the shield of lush green shrubs is whre you’ll find this oasis within an oasis.

The curved free form pool spreads out over the deck as three waterfalls flow across a massive rock formation and spill into it. Venture behind the cascading water to discover two secluded hot tubs for your soaking pleasure.

Ladies are free to drop their tops at this European-style watering hole. Grab a spot on the pool deck in a complimentary lounge chair (first come, first served, so arrive early) or reserve one of the venue’s nine daybeds or seven cabanas. The Rio is off the Las Vegas Strip, approximately one mile west of Las Vegas Boulevard at S Valley View, and like most off-strip resorts, the prices here are a little more reasonable, so go ahead and splurge for the opportunity to be pampered. Cabanas are furnished with a couch, chairs, ceiling fan, mini fridge and flat screen TV.

The Voo does not have a bar of its own but not to worry, you won’t go thirsty. Simply walk back out to VooDoo Beach to belly up to the Cruzan Island Bar or the VooDoo Beach Bar. If that seems like too much work, just hang out wherever you are, a bikini clad cocktail waitress will be happy to retrieve your drinks for you. Try the Vegas Cooler, an eye-opening signature cocktail made with peach schnapps, Ketel One orange vodka, Red Bull, Triple Sec and pineapple juice.

Hungry sunbathers can have food delivered poolside. The menu offers a wide selection of pub fare, including chicken tenders, Angus sliders, grilled hot dogs, Baja fresh tacos, smoothies, seasonal fresh fruit and salads. And you can top it off with a refreshing frozen candy bar for dessert.

The space offers unobstructed views of the elevated DJ booth and during the weekend, go-go dancers entertain the crowds. When the place fills up, the Voo likes to keep things lively with booty shaking contests and beach games.
